Beskydy Living Lab in Slovak National Television
Climate change and its impacts on local communities were the focus of a recent appearance by Tomas Szabo from the Slovak Living Lab Beskydy on Morning News, broadcast by Slovak National Television (STVR).
Tomas presented the work of the research teams at CETIP and SlovakGlobe, highlighting how the Coevolvers project is helping communities respond to the growing challenges of climate change. In the cross-border Beskydy region, one of the most pressing issues is the increasing shortage of rainfall, making water retention measures essential for improving climate resilience. The discussion also explored emerging research on topics Multispecies Justice and Nature-based Solutions, demonstrating how these innovative approaches can support more resilient and inclusive landscape management while strengthening the region's capacity to adapt to climate change. Introduction of new digital platform - Beskydy Online underlined importance of co-creation method with regional stakeholders. The Platform was designed to facilitate the exchange of good practices, foster collaboration, and support collective action, the platform represents an important step towards participatory climate adaptation and sustainable landscape governance in the Beskydy region.
